Epic Global announce strategic collaboration with Premier League Football Club, Norwich City

October 2021 – Premier League football club, Norwich City, have announced a strategic collaboration with esports and gaming agency, Epic Global, to support them in their creation of a new esports team, 1J Esports.

As a result of the collaboration, Epic Global will assist Norwich City and their esports brand, 1J Esports, in several areas including content creation, player management and commercial partnerships.

1J Esports will launch with FIFA 22 competitions including the FIFA Global Series and FIFA Club World Cup, and other esports titles will be added in the coming months.

Norwich City’s Junior Development & Membership Manager, Jake Gent, said “We are excited to take the club’s first major step into esports and gaming, exploring the new opportunity presented to engage and connect with the next generation of fans”.

“Our ambition is to create a best-in-class esports entity with a sustainable business model and the opportunity to work with a leading agency like Epic Global provides great support and expertise throughout our journey,” he said.

Epic Global co-founder Trev Keane, said: “For traditional football clubs with the desire to embrace innovation, gaming and esports represents a huge growth opportunity.”

1J Esports will be powered by leading gaming advertising company, Bidstack as the official esports partner of the club. As part of the collaboration with Norwich City, Epic Global have provided students from Badu Sports, partner of both the club and Bidstack, five places on their esports masterclass course with Longford College.
